Review: K-Palette 1 Day Magic liquid eyeliner in Super Black
Finally making time for a post after over a month of silence! I promised myself I would never apologize if I was behind on my posts just because I don't want this blog to pressure me (it's supposed to be enjoyable!), so I'll just explain my absence by saying that I have been very busy at work because I got promoted :) I also just got back from a brief trip to Singapore yesterday. This is my second K-Palette product review. Since I quite like their Lasting 2Way Eyebrow, I decided I wanted to try something else from the brand. I had just run out of my in2it liner pen, so I thought a new liner would be a good idea - something I actually needed to restock!
K-Palette 1 Day Magic liquid eyeliner in Super Black
It comes in this cute pink packaging. The pen itself is almost exactly the same length as an iPhone 5S. Can I just say that there is so much wastage with the cardboard packaging on this? It's not just a flat card but goes front and back. Not environmentally friendly.
Tip and swatches
There were no testers available, and I hadn't read any reviews prior to buying this, so I was kind of hoping for the best with this product. It has a pointed brush tip, not the marker-type nib I was expecting.
The swatches show the opacity of this liner. I was impressed that it's blacker than the Urban Decay 24/7 liquid eyeliner in Perversion. You can run the tip gently for a thin line, or press down a bit for a thicker line.
The packaging says "The flat brush tip makes it easier to use and is perfect for beginners," which is part of the reason why I got it. I don't often use liquid liner because I find you have to really sit and be patient for it, and we don't always got time for that. The tip of this liner is very pliable, not a marker type, so it can be hard for beginners to control.
The product claims to be "waterproof, long lasting and instant drying," which I found to be true. It dried immediately, and after eight hours of wear, it only began to smudge a bit on my rather oily eyelids.
It also claims "ease of removal with gentle formula." Most of it washes off with my regular facial wash, but remnants still need to be cleaned off with makeup remover on a cotton bud.
I bought this for P695 at Beauty Bar in Ayala. Overall, if you have a pretty steady hand and can practice getting used to liquid liner, I would recommend this because of its opacity and lasting power. If you have shaky hands or are always in a hurry when applying makeup, this one may not be for you.
