My name is Joanna and I'm a beauty addict with no rehabilitation in sight! I call myself a beauty enthusiast because I don't consider myself a beauty expert. I'm not a professional makeup artist or dermatologist, just someone who has loved makeup and skin care since high school.

Formerly an adopted Texan and a temporary Sydneysider, I was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines. I'm a corporate office manager and lifestyle columnist for Philippine regional newspaper Sun.Star Cebu. The Beauty Enthusiast is published on Fridays, while Jo de Vivre covers lifestyle events and is published on Saturdays.

This blog is an outlet for my fascination with beauty. I'll try almost anything local or imported, drugstore finds or high end brands. As someone who's been beauty obsessed since 2002, I've learned that prices aren't always indicative of quality.

When I'm not thinking about makeup and life in general, I'm always reading, or daydreaming about where I can travel to next!
