Review and swatches: Jordana Modern Matte lipsticks in Matte Whisper, Matte Tease, Matte Pretty

I have to give a shoutout to my friend Nym for introducing me to the super affordable Jordana Modern Matte lipstick line. We got them from the same seller at P150 each; a total steal for how much pigmentation each one offers!




The packaging is nothing special, but I like that the color of the tube matches the shade inside. The shade name is printed on the side of each tube; no stick-on labels at the bottom that may fall off after some time. Yes, I did notice that the printing on Matte Whisper is a different direction from the other two!

These have a matte finish but still feel creamy on the lips. This is definitely not one of those extremely drying matte lipsticks. It does not have a flat ultra-matte finish, either. There may be some issues with tugging on application but it doesn't really bother me. These last about four hours on me with the usual amount of talking and drinking.



I love all of the colors that I got! Matte Whisper is a mauvey brown that's definitely got that trendy 90's lip vibe. Matte Pretty is a wearable terracotta that is not too orange. Matte Tease is a rosy medium pink. I think all of these would look good on different Asian skin tones.

Overall, these are comfortable, easy-to-wear lipsticks that I don't feel guilty owning multiples of because they are so affordable!
